Meet our Spotlight Volunteers!

Jim and Mary at the SHIP monthly volunteer Christmas meeting on December 17, 2018.

SHIP HAWAII begins 2019 with the SPOTLIGHT on our stars, Mary & Jim, who have steered the program with their loyalty, longevity, & life experiences.  Our invaluable SHIPMates have contributed countless hours from the days of SAGE PLUS which evolved into SHIP.

Mary has been a counselor for 22 years. She shares her expertise in social security, disability benefits, & vocational rehabilitation with Medicare beneficiaries as well as her SHIPMates.

Jim uses his careers in the computer industry & Judiciary system to devote his energy as a presenter, counselor, and resources in outreach assistance. He received the Senior Volunteer Award, in 2011, in appreciation of his commitment to service.

SHIP is proud to feature lifetime role models, Mary & Jim!
